I am the bear herself,
rough hewn out of the wilderness,
burly with truths yet unexpressed.
Ambling down a shaded path, old and worn,
laid down by a lifetime of pacing contemplation,
silent and patient, her power unrevealed.
Layers of thickness, flesh and fur,
sustenance and comfort in the cold darkness,
soon to be shed.
Awakened and renewed,
giving voice to her ancient wisdom,
the bear transforms herself.
(I realize this looks like a cartoon bear. Baby steps.)
